Frosted Faces Foundation in Ramona is a nonprofit that rescues and rehomes elderly dogs. Many of these dogs are missing the humans they have bonded with for many years - who either passed away or could no longer take care of them. On weekends, the nonprofit hosts hikes and open house events, when visitors and volunteers walk and play with the dogs, and sometimes adopt them. The nonprofit tries to support ownership of a senior dog by covering lifetime medical costs for senior dogs and offering free emergency boarding.
