Thousands of labourers started their strenous 'padyatras' to reach their villages from different parts of the country after the lockdown came into effect. But around 6000 labourers of Chhota Udepur were spared from this ordeal of this foot march. Reasons- their villages came to their rescue. Then they contacted every migrant worker asking about their exact location. After taking required permissions, they ferried their own vehicles and rented trucks and brought back around 6000 migrant workers.
