The University Hospital in Brussels (UZ Brussels) has a new ambulance equipped with fast internet and artificial intelligence headsets with cameras and microphones that is like an emergency room on wheels. It will have equipment to deal with neonatology, cardiology, neurosurgery, pediatric intensive care and more, and can accommodate a large team. Through a 5G connection, doctors will be able to monitor the situation in the vehicle in real time and specialists will be able to guide paramedics in medical care, especially during extreme and time-sensitive circumstances. The vehicle will mainly be used to transport people between UZ Brussels and cities like Liege and Roeselare, transporting emergency patients to the specialists they need.
