It started with a tweet at 10 am on Saturday. A cancer patient in Palpur village Uttar Pradesh needed medicine that wasnt available locally. His son would usually send him the medicine from Noida but because of nationwide lockdown, he couldnt. The appeal for help by his sons friend set the police wheels rolling in Noida. Eight hours later, cops reached the door of Phool Singh in Palpur, 400km away, with the medicines he needed. This effort required the police in 3 different districts to coordinate together and they are taking every possible step to ensure medicines reach those in need.
