"Solar power meets ski slope at Montana's Discovery Ski Area. Striving to be environmentally responsible and cut a growing monthly bill, President Ciche Pitcher is installing a 50-kilowatt solar array -- a job set to offset 70% of one of the ski lift's power usage and save an annual estimate of $11,000. Regarded as the biggest, most complex installation that the solar company had taken on, the project ran into construction hold-ups, costly installations, and a painstaking process of acquiring the appropriate permits. However, Pitcher mentions, "We're not naive enough to think that if we have a solar array that we're not now going to have climate change at Discovery.
