Each of us has the power to make small changes in our behaviors, our surroundings and our relationships that can help set us on a course for a happier life. Our minds are prime targets for small tweaks to increase our happiness. One suggestion: Don't try to stop negative thoughts (everybody gets them), instead notice and label them -- I'm worrying about money. Challenging our negative thoughts is another way to address them. Write down the negative thought and then ask yourself, What is the evidence for this thought? or How might I view this situation if it happened to someone else? Questions like these can help shift our negative thinking. Deep breathing and getting our bodies moving are other simple ways to increase our happiness.
