Aryana Chopra, age 5, set herself a serious goal: to hand-design New Year's cards for all the residents of a nursing home in Vestal, N.Y. When her mother told her there were 200 people there, the artist was unfazed. This was her way of bringing cheer to people in the nursing home who cannot go out and meet their friends and family because of the coronavirus. She spent the better part of two weeks making the cards, each one with unique drawings: rainbows, snowmen, kids holding presents and special New Year's messages. Aryana broke open her piggy bank to buy a couple of gifts for the nursing home as well. Aryana wasn't looking for anything in return - except maybe a blessing. She said, "Mommy, you know what blessings are, they work wonders. If 200 people are going to bless me, that would be the biggest New Year's gift for me.
