As a massive surge in Covid-19 cases overwhelmed Indian hospitals, the Sikh aid group Khalsa Help International offered oxygen to people in cars, vans and rickshaws lined up in the street outside the Sikh temple in Ghaziabad city. The group has been buying oxygen as and when it becomes available to help those in urgent need. The temple said it started the service because people were dying on the streets. Health Ministry data shows 16.96 million infections and 192,311 deaths.
