Often our ability to be of service to others has the capacity to emerge from the most unlikely of places. Sometimes the spark of service is enflamed during moments of change and uncertainty in our own lives. Enter Brian Schwartz, who after being laid off from his job during the pandemic, used his time and energy to start a nonprofit organization called "I Want to Mow Your Lawn." His nonprofit, which currently operates in eight states, assists elders, veterans, persons with disabilities and other underserved people, communities and neighborhoods with lawn care services at no charge.
