Borjana and Charlie the chipmunk have had a special bond since she spotted him in her parent's backyard three years ago. It took a week and a half to build trust, she says, but now he seems to understand what she tells him. It's not all about food -- there are times when he just hangs out with her, and "that's touching," she said. Another chipmunk, Buddy, began visiting the backyard, but chipmunks are very territorial and Charlie sulks when she feeds Buddy.
