A New Yorker's GoFundMe campaign to evacuate at-risk Afghans as quickly as possible has rocketed toward $6 million and is still climbing. Internet meme artist Quentin Quarantino started the campaign to help human rights lawyers, activists, translators, journalists and artists who are in danger FROM the Taliban. Asylum seekers will be transported in family `groups`, and Quarantino says every $1,500 represents a seat on a plane. "Raising $5 million in less than 24 hours for this rescue mission has given us, and so many around the world, hope for humanity," he says. "Most importantly, it's a direct line to attempt safe passage for Afghans in danger."
