High school Students in Canada's Northwest Territories will have the opportunity to earn credits while learning to live on the land. For three weeks this fall, credit on a wide range of topics ranging from climate change to Inuvialuit history will be given to five students from Tuktoyaktuk, N.W.T. Kelsey Wrightson, executive director of Dechinta, a charity funding the project, told the CBC that her organization is seeking to embody programming that "really demonstrates what it means to invest in a knowledge economy that supports northern indigenous brilliance."
