Colette Maze is a mother, a pianist, and a centenarian. At 107 years old, she can remember both the first and second world wars and has 102 years of playing the piano under her belt. As an artist in a society that didn't see women in that role, Maze bucked social conventions and challenged her family's perception of her role. She was estranged from her family but found equilibrium in her piano. "From morning to night, she was always at the piano. She sort of breathed through the piano. And for me it was important that she could record, to leave a trace -- to leave a message," said Maze's son Fabrice. The centenarian has this advice for the world: "Youth is inside us. If you appreciate what's beautiful around you, you will find a sense of wonder in it."
