At age 29, renowned Hollywood star Michael Fox went public on being diagnosed with Parkinson's disease. Several years later, he launched the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research to help fund therapies and cures for the illness. Since then the organization has raised more than $1 billion, involved itself in several therapies, and supported lines of communication between patients and medical communities. I just want to get this done, says the now 60-year-old Fox. I'm committed to this. I won't stop until it happens.
