For the first time ever, astronauts aboard the International Space Station can enjoy spicy flavors after harvesting the stations's first batch of chili peppers. Aside FROM the heat, chili peppers are dense with nutrients, grow quickly in microgravity, and contain few microbes. The astronauts are experimenting with the viability of various crops to determine which ones can feed future astronauts. Megan McArthur, one of the crew `member`s aboard the ISS, even used some of the chili peppers to make a spicy space taco.
