Since 1998, November 13th has also been known as World Kindness Day in 27 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Japan and Italy. Created by the World Kindness Movement, a nonprofit with no religious, political or business affiliations, the holiday is dedicated to "inspiring individuals towards greater kindness by connecting nations to create a kinder world," reports Better Homes & Gardens. A few ideas to celebrate today's holiday include: send some sweet words to lift someone's day, pay for someone's order in line behind you, plant a tree for the environment, prepay for someone's pump at the gas station, smile and gift compliments.
