One high school in Orem, Utah has a cheering squad for its art events, in addition to sporting events. Called the Bruin Classies, the 90-person club at Mountain View High School is a club designed to cheer, support, and publicize art performances in their fellow student body. In bowties and uniforms, members can be seen walking along hallways with small signs hanging from their necks announcing upcoming art events—be it choir, band, photography, art galleries, you name it. “The students deserve to be celebrated by the student body. This is stuff that they have poured their time into and it deserves to be admired,” said Caleb Stay, a senior.
