For ten consecutive years since 2011, an unused red phone box on a neighborhood street in Prickwillow, England has been a source of Christmas spirit. Each year features a different design, with the box decked into a giant, stuffed-canvas Rudolph to a Santa Claus-faced steam train. Designer Cary Outis, the man behind the decorations, wanted to honor delivery drivers. It takes him about 20 hours to finish, but it lights up the street with lively cheer. There are "people driving past and beeping, some stopping to congratulate us and others walking over to say they love it," says Mr. Outis.
