Saga, an insurance company for people over 50, recently adopted a policy that gives grandparents a week of paid leave to celebrate the birth of a grandchild. Because most of the company's workers are over 50, almost half of which regularly provide care for their grandchildren, it is important for Saga to show their support for senior employees. “This is about helping new grandparents celebrate a special moment and play a role in growing families from day one," says Saga's chief people officer.
