Recognizing the harm of single-use plastics, the Government of Canada recently proposed a plan that helps reduce the waste of such pollutants. The two-phase plan aims to tackle the lifecycle of plastics, holding companies accountable for collecting and recycling their plastic products and increasing the use of recycled products.
