Brian DeLallo, coach for the Bethel Park football team, canceled weightlifting practice on January 17th due to snow. Instead, he asked players to go out into their community and clear the snow off the driveways of elderly and disabled people. "Don't accept money -- that's our Monday workout," instructed Coach DeLallo. So the 25 players took their workout to the snow-covered streets of South Hills, Pennsylvania, shoveling snow in freezing weather. Though their hands and feet may have been cold, their spirits became that much warmer. It was a chance for the players to understand that being an athlete is much more than about whether one can bench 300 pounds in the weight room. "It's not only helping them, but it's helping us, too, and we become a better team," Gavin Moul told CBS Pittsburgh.
