In accordance with guidelines set by the Fur Free Alliance, fashion companies like Armani, Gucci, and Prada and Moncler agreed to cease the use of animal fur in their product lines and transition to eco-friendly faux fur. Altogether, the industry is beginning to re-envision fashion and design in a manner that is sustainable for the planet. PJ Smith from Humane Society International said that ending the use of fur creates a higher standard for what is acceptable in fashion.
