Snowboarding gold medalist Jamie Anderson didn’t get to the Olympics’ highest mountain tops on her own. “My mom has always been like my main support and role model, not just in snowboarding but in like life.” Jamie was one of 8 kids and marveled at how her mom handled the never-ending work of cooking for 10 people every day. Lauren Anderson, Jamie’s mom, believes that being a good example is the most important thing in life. One thing Jamie and Lauren have in common is listening to their hearts and taking the guidance that comes from them. “I’m no superhero, but with hard work passion, love, I think we can do anything. I think the only limit is our mind. So, for any like youngsters out there don’t talk yourself out of anything. The power is within us,” Jamie said.
