After failed attempts by conservation officials, it was bird catcher, Tilli, in Palu, Indonesia, who freed a female crocodile from a motorcycle tire that had been around her neck for 6-years. As it tightened over the years her risk of chocking increased. In January, Palu set a trap to lure her into. After 3 weeks, she fell into the trap and with the help of two of his friends, pulled her to shore and removed the tire from her neck. The crocodile didn't fight because I used five layers of rope. I tied up the front of the crocodile with a lot of rope so it couldn't fight back, said Palu.
