An initiative between U.S. state governments and online education company Coursera is offering unemployed workers thousands of online courses for free. The initiative will give unemployed individuals access to professional certification and skill-building courses that are in high demand. These classes, which usually cost $399 a year and are offered by top universities and companies like Google, are now free and unlimited. Overall, there is a surge in the online education space as many are turning to it to learn during the pandemic.
