In Southern California, a nonprofit celebrated unhoused mothers on Mother's Day last Sunday, May 8, 2022. Tyron Jackson, Founder/President of Operation Warm Wishes, the organization behind the event, said, I wanted to do something extra special this year. I wanted to have a clothing giveaway, pancakes, see people smile again, you know. He's been making those in need feel special for 15 years with his nonprofit Operation Warm Wishes. Every month for the last 15 years, Operation Warm Wishes has had an event to bring the community together. This year for Mother's Day it was a pancake brunch for mothers without a home and families in need. 600 pancakes divided into 200 boxes were transferred to a local library to be distributed. In conjunction with the pancakes, they also had a clothing expo and giveaway. Jackson wanted to make this event extra special for those in need, those who normally go without, and by all appearances, he succeeded.
