A stunning ancient Roman mosaic, stumbled upon highway construction in 1996, finally returns home after spending over 10 years touring museums around the world. The 1,700-year-old mosaic was likely owned by a rich merchant who lived near modern-day Tel Aviv. The piece features a variety of sea life, crafted with North African influences. The mosaic will now be exhibited at an archeological center built where it was found, in Lod, Israel.
