Coral bleaching on the coast of east Africa from climate change could lead to a loss of fish and other sea life, which may worsen food shortage problems in the area. To raise awareness and combat this issue, members of the REEFolution foundation in Wasini, Kenya collected fragments of wild coral to grow into coral nurseries. They have planted over 8,000 corals in the past decade and nursed over 800 coral reef structures, promoting coral reef restoration and raising awareness about the urgency of the issue.
