Hertz recently signed an electric vehicle deal with GM and Uber for 175,000 EVs, adding to their already existing partnerships with Tesla and Polestar. The car rental giant reported a 12% increase in revenue to $2.5 billion. The car rental company stated that it will work on their transition to electric vehicles in the future, reporting them to be significantly easier to maintain than diesel counterparts, and coming with an added tax credit of up $7,500 per electric vehicle. Their plan is to make about a quarter of their rental car fleet to be 25% electric by the end of 2024.
