The band, Orquesta Reusónica Trio, finds ways to make music, using salvaged objects that would have otherwise ended up in a landfill and turning them into instruments. Instruments like a surfboard fitted with strings, a flute made out of the wheel of a wheelchair, a xylophone made out of plastic soda bottles, and even a metal crutch. In addition to making music, the group is also dedicated to raising awareness about living a more sustainable lifestyle. They host a workshop for kids where they teach them how to create instruments from discarded objects.
