At 115 years old, María Branyas Morera is currently the oldest person alive. She has lived through two world wars, the Spanish civil war, the 1918 flu pandemic and Covid, surviving an infection with virus. She is the proud mother of children, grandmother of 11 grandchildren, and great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren. Maria thinks that luck and good genes played a role in reaching her age. But she also shared that  "order, tranquility, good connection with family and friends, contact with nature, emotional stability, no worries, no regrets, lots of positivity and staying away from toxic people” play a role, according to the Guinness site.
