Aleksei Antropov was playing for the Russian Philharmonic orchestra in Moscow before he fled the country when the invasion began. He now lives and works in Georgia and hopes to buy land and settle down. Without an orchestra, he is building his own by gathering a small group of classical musicians who are also from Russia. 
Grigory Dobrynin is the drummer with a Russian band and also left for Georgia. He misses the concerts and now teaches the drums and joins jam sessions.
Russian singer and guitarist Anastasia Ivanova still tours but can no longer perform in Russia, because she is on a “blacklist” for her opposition to the war.
