In Flagstaff, Arizona, US, construction will start this year on a solar power plant that will offset 1 billion pounds of CO2 each year. The plant, which will be completed in 2024, will provide power for 80,000 Arizona homes. This will be the largest solar power plant in the state. Solar is Arizona's number one source of renewable energy. The state is the fifth in the nation for solar-powered electricity.
