When three seniors from Callisburg high school in Texas, US, heard that the new 80-year-old janitor, Mr. James had to start working again because his rent had gone up $400, they decided to help him go back to retiring more comfortably. The GoFundMe they opened and the TikTok video that senior Greyson Thurman posted showing Mr. James cleaning the halls did the job. In just 12 hours, the $10,000 goal was met by donations mainly from students. Furthermore, as local news started to report on the fund drive, the donations came from all over the country and beyond, increasing from $10,000 to $270,000 in just over a week. The overwhelming support the students received was uplifting and inspiring, showing how widespread goodness is in the world.
