A new type of battery has been developed at the Argonne National Laboratory. This battery has a much greater energy density than normal. This would allow electric planes and trucks to operate for much longer distances. Such a breakthrough is a welcome surprise for users of electric vehicles. The energy density is four times that of current batteries and would allow electric planes to achieve distances of over 1000 kms on a single charge.
