Heidi Leighton, Hawkeye Fiber Optics’ most recent hire, is transforming her life and the life of her children by working as a fiber-optic ground hand. In a field traditionally dominated by men, Leighton is proving that women are just as capable. Beginning as flagger for Hawkeye, within eight months Leighton became a ground hand and is now able to 100% financially support her family.
