Chloe McRoberts, a woman from Ayr, Scotland, recently earned a first-class honors degree in social work from Glasgow Caledonian University. The 26-year-old's achievement is remarkable, considering that at 16, she couldn't read or write and left school without any qualifications due to struggles with erratic behavior, inadequate learning support, being dyslexic, and going through her father's death. However, Chloe found the help she needed at South Ayrshire Council's Learning Shop project. Determined to catch up with her peers, she persevered and eventually fulfilled her dream of attending university. Chloe now works on a disability team supporting children in multiple schools and has also learned British Sign Language to help break down communication barriers. "I do hope to make a big difference -- that is the plan," said Chloe.
