"Special sleep" -- that's what 8-year-old Aditi Shankar called the groundbreaking kidney transplant surgery that's allowed her to bid farewell to daily immunosuppressive drugs. Aditi is the first child in the UK to receive such a transplant, largely due to an innovative procedure undertaken by doctors at Great Ormond Street Hospital that reprogrammed her immune system using her mother's bone-marrow stem cells.
