P-22, a mountain lion confined to Griffith Park in Los Angeles, was rescued by Hollywood celebrities after being cut off from potential mates by a six-lane freeway. The story of P-22's survival inspired a collective bid to reconnect wildlife to nature. Local celebrities funded the Wallis Annenberg Wildlife Overpass, the world's largest wildlife overpass, which will soon serve as a hub for wildlife, including mountain lions and butterflies.
