In a powerful demonstration of unity, a group of rabbis near Chicago, U.S. responded in solidarity after a six-year-old Palestinian Muslim boy was fatally stabbed by a landlord, who also critically injured the boy's mother. Stepping to bridge divides amidst the Israel-Hamas War and six-year-old Wadea Al-Fayoume's shocking death, Rabbi Ari Hart of Skokie Valley Agudath Jacob Synagogue expressed in writing afterwards: "We witnessed the pain. We expressed our shock and condemnation of the attack. We wept." He spoke with the Imam of the mosque where the funeral was held, as well as Al-Fayoume’s father. As intolerance brims in many parts of the world, such acts of shared compassion and responsibility are a ray of hope.
