A mobile greengrocers scheme which helps people access fresh fruit and vegetables in ‘food deserts’ in Liverpool, UK,  has proved so popular it will be expanded with another van and more stops. Queen of Greens has been run by charities Feeding Liverpool and Feedback Global with funding from city organizations since 2022. The buses have a fixed weekly schedule and stops, many of them community and family centers in areas where fresh produce isn't available within a kilometer walk. Greengrocer Paul Flannery offers competitive prices, going to the wholesale market at 5:00 each morning. Many of his customers get government Healthy Start vouchers which can be used on the bus.
