When California geologist Mike Bowers opened up a volcanic rock in Brazil, he didn't expect to see the uncanny resemblance of a beloved Muppet. From the outside, the rock looks like a plain brown egg-shaped piece of volcanic earth. Yet, when split in half and opened on the inside, it blinks in cream and blue the striking image of Cookie Monster, with a hollow half-moon center that looks ready to gobble up any cookies in sight!
