Canada's immigration minister is setting a goal to admit half a million permanent immigrants every year until 2025. So far, Canada has been leading the world in resettling immigrants for the past three years. Still, they face the challenges of slow processing times and acquiring private sponsorships to support refugee families. According to the plan, Canada will resettle 50 thousand refugees in 2023, which is more refugees than in any year since before 1979.
