When Heather Schaefer saw the plea for a kidney on Facebook, she felt a calling and knew immediately that if she was a match, she would donate her kidney. It took six month, many tests, and lots of preparation before Heather was able to donate her kidney. It was airlifted from Texas to New Jersey and transferred to Roy McIntosh saving his life. Heather's family was at first skeptical and worried but in the end, supported her and helped her recover from the surgery.
