In the U.S., East Coast Greenway is an evolving network of trails from Calais, Maine down to Key West, Florida. Project leaders have been trying to stitch together trails to create a 3,000-mile route for foot traffic, bike traffic, and general active living. The Greenways offer a safe, environmentally friendly means of transportation. “For business owners, for property owners, for the health of the community, there are so many positives that are going to come from this trail,” Kim Chapman, a resident of Durham, North Carolina, says.
