In an effort to drown out the overwhelming fear that many were feeling in the midst of the pandemic, two med students named Vinita Akula and Gabby Cintron started a website centered around stories of kindness. "Kindness Amid the Coronavirus" features a variety of stories that center around the theme of hope and positivity. Some stories include one student's decision to distribute hand sanitizer to his community and a 4-year-old's journey to bring water to his grandmother. With more than 300 submissions, the site has been able to spread hope in a time of anxiety.
