The Little Free Pantry movement has gone electric and taken root in Seattle. After New York's friendly fridges caught on, volunteers in Seattle have been installing community refrigerators in locations around the city to provide fresh food to people facing food insecurity. Donated fridges are painted by artists in bright colors and then deployed to neighborhood locations to be used and stocked by the community. It's one piece of a whole system that's needed volunteer Charlton said. We're just regular folks that were like, this is something we have the capacity to do, and there's a need for it. So let's just do it.
