"We are one community. We are borderless at heart," said the mayor of Stewart, B.C. (pop. 400), promising her community will look after the residents of Hyder, Alaska, (pop. 80) so they won't be cut off from services by the Canada-U.S. border closure even if it means leaving supplies at the crossing.
