In central China's Hubei province, a stranger ordered a free cake for the delivery man assigned to pick it up. Unbeknownst to the anonymous gifter, it happened to be that delivery man's birthday. After double-checking with the cashier that the cake was indeed for him, he sat alone on the sidewalk, lit a birthday candle and blew it out, finishing the cake in tears. When the video was posted in May 2020, 10,000 delivery drivers had received free meals -- as part of a spontaneous trend of people ordering meals online for delivery drivers, to remind them to eat on time.
