Maggie Mulqueen, a psychologist, says that with the coronavirus pandemic, mortality is something that everybody has had to learn to face. With global death tolls surpassing that of 9/11, WWII and the Vietnam War combined, it seems that mortality is everywhere. However, Mulqueen says, having confronted and accepted the inevitability of death, many people's life priorities have shifted over the pandemic. Instead of establishing as many acquaintances as possible, people have learned to cherish closer relationships with a few people. People are also rethinking their life goals and beginning to pursue things that they're passionate about and are happy doing. Covid-19 has helped to teach us that life is meaningful and time is precious.
